When work was tied to people

Running a small business myself, I have felt again and again how fragile things are when work depends on particular people. When someone is away, things stop; with every handover, something slips through. Where documents were kept, deadlines and procedures existed only in someone’s head.

We started by writing it down

So we began by writing our work down and organizing it into ledgers and procedures. Each time something is written down, work that lived in one person’s head becomes a procedure the company owns.

Systems are for people

A system is the foundation that lets people take time off with peace of mind, hand work over, and move on to what comes next. Once written down, work stops being one person’s burden and becomes an asset of the company.

Building it together, one company at a time

A good system grows out of a company’s own work. Every company has its own way of doing things and know-how that has never been put into words. We listen, write it down ourselves, shape it into something that lasts, and leave it in your hands. That is the work RAY G.K. takes on.
